Brett Hester grew up locally in Valdosta attending the city public schools. He played football at Valdosta High School and graduated in 1999. Dr. Hester pursued an education and a career in construction until he decided to become a dentist. He completed his undergraduate studies at Augusta State University and graduated from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. Dr. Hester began his dental career working in his father’s orthodontic office while in high school. He then continued to work as a dental lab technician throughout his college studies. Dr. Hester returned to Valdosta to work as a full time clinical assistant for Hester and Morris orthodontics before he began dental school in 2007. Dr. Hester enjoyed learning about all aspects of dentistry while at the Medical College of Georgia and is happy to offer his services for citizens of our community. Dr Hester is a member of the American Dental Association as well as the Georgia Dental Association and the Southwest District Dental Association. He was also a member of the American Student Dental Association. Dr. Hester married his wonderful wife, Hayley Thomas Hester, during his third year of dental school. Hayley is employed by Georgia Home Health as an occupational therapist. Hayley also grew up in Valdosta where she graduated from Valdosta High School and the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Hester and his wife enjoy boating and water sports with their dogs, friends and family. Dr. Hester hopes to pursue his love for shooting sports in his time off. He and Hayley enjoy movies on the weekends and are currently trying to find a church home. Dr. Hester is looking forward to joining Dr. Swindle, a long time professional mentor and friend, as well as his staff. |
